Hyundai Santa Fe: Drive Belt System / Crankshaft Damper Pulley. Repair procedures

Be careful not to damage the parts located under the vehicle
(floor under cover, fuel filter, fuel tank and canister) when
raising the vehicle using the lift.
(Refer to General Information - "Lift and Support Points")

Remove the drive belt.
(Refer to Drive Belt System - "Drive Belt")
|
2. |
Remove the crankshaft damper pulley (A).
Tightening torque :
114.7 - 120.6 N.m (11.7 - 12.3 kgf.m, 25.8 - 27.1 lb-ft) + [68°
- 72°]

Install the SST (09231-3D100) to hold the ring gear
after removing the dust cover.

Remove the dust cover (A) on the bottom of the ladder
frame.
|
2) |
Loosen the transaxle mounting bolt (B).
|
3) |
Adjust the length of the holder nuts so that the front
plate of the holder puts in the ring gear teeth.
|
4) |
Adjust the angle of the links so that the two transaxle
mounting bolts can be fastened to the original mounted
holes.
|
5) |
Install the SST (09231-3D100) using the two transaxle
mounting bolts and spacers. Tighten the bolts and nuts
of the holder and links securely.

Install in the reverse order of removal.

Use the cargo security screen to cover items stored in the cargo area.
Using the cargo security screen
1. Pull the cargo security screen towards the rear of the vehicle by the handle
(1).
2. Insert the guide pin (2) into the guide (3).
Information
Pull out the cargo security screen with the handle in the center to prevent
the guide pin from falling out of the guide...
The rear seatbacks can be folded to facilitate carrying long items or to increase
the luggage capacity of the vehicle.
WARNING
Never allow passengers to sit on top of the folded down seatback
while the vehicle is moving. This is not a proper seating position and no seat
belts are available for use...
