Hyundai Santa Fe: Controller / Heater & A/C Control Unit (Rear). Repair procedures

When removing with a flat-tip screwdriver or remover, wrap protective
tape around the tools to prevent damage to components.

Put on gloves to prevent hand injuries.
|
|
•
|
Take care not to bend or scratch the trim and panels.
|
|
1. |
Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
|
2. |
Remove the luggage side trim [RH].
(Refer to Body - "Luggage Side Trim")
|
3. |
Loosen the mountig screws and then remove the rear heater & A/C control
unit (A).
|
4. |
To install, reverse removal procedure.

Replace any damaged clips (or pin-type retainers).
|
• |
Make sure the connector are connected in properly.
|

Removal

Raise the vehicle, and make sure it is securely supported.

In the case of 4WD vehicle, remove the rear differential assembly.
(Refer to Driveshaft and axle - "Rear Differential Carrier")

Use the power sunshade to block direct sunlight coming through the sunroof glass.
- Push the sunroof switch rearward to the first detent position, the power sunshade
automatically slides open.
- Push the sunroof switch forward to the first detent position, the power sunshade
automatically closes...

Electric Power Steering (EPS) warning light
This warning light illuminates:
When you set the ignition switch or the Engine Start/Stop button to
the ON position.
- The electric power steering warning light illuminates for about 3 seconds
and then goes off.
Whenever there is a malfunction with the electric power steering.
If this occurs, have the vehicle inspected by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.
