Hyundai Santa Fe: Engine Control System / Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor (MAPS). Repair procedures

Connect the diagnostic tool on the Data Link Connector (DLC).

Measure the output voltage of the MAPS at idle and IG ON.
Specification : Refer to "Specification"
|

Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the battery negative (-)
cable.
|
2. |
Disconnect the manifold absolute pressure sensor connector (A).
|
3. |
Remove the installation bolt (B), and then remove the sensor from the
surge tank.
Tightening Torque :
9.8 - 11.8 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.7 lb-ft)

Install the component with the specified torques.
|
•
|
Note that internal damage may occur when the component is dropped.
In this case, use it after inspecting.
|
|

|
Insert the sensor in the installation hole and be careful not
to damage when installation.
|

Engine oil pressure warning light
This warning light illuminates:
When the engine oil pressure is low.
If the engine oil pressure is low:
1. Drive carefully to the nearest safe location and stop your vehicle.
2. Turn the engine off and check the engine oil level (For more details, refer
to “Engine Oil” section in chapter 9). If the level is low, add oil as required.
